This is an interactive visualisation of temporo-spatial pollen data.
Points on the map represent (mock) pollen core sites. The diameter of a point represents the relative abundance of a
taxa's pollen at a point in time. The controls on the page can be used to explore and animate the history of a taxa's abundance.
-
Use the play button to start the animation.
-
Select different taxa using the taxa selection widget (bottom right).
-
The playback slider can be used to move to a specific point in time.
-
The map can be panned and zoomed.
-
The zoom widget (bottom) can be used to set the beginning and end of the animation. The animation's speed, in years per second,
reduces as the selection shrinks.
This demo is using mock data.
