This is an interactive visualisation of temporo-spatial pollen data.
Colours represent taxa and points on the map represent (mock) pollen core sites. As the time changes, the colour of the points shows which taxa was most prevalent.

• Use the play button to start the animation.
• The playback slider can be used to move to a specific point in time.
• The map can be panned and zoomed.
• The zoom widget (bottom) can be used to set the beginning and end of the animation. The animation's speed, in years per second, reduces as the selection shrinks.
